Nice video Mark.
I have the same setup but only have 1 reception light.
I don't have a dimmer (yet) for the 500w Rifa light, so sometimes I just put the light up high and point it up towards the ceiling to compensate.
I know you've posted before, but what on-camera light(s) do you use? _________________ www.knightvideo.com |

Hi Colby,
Thanks. You really need to get the dimmer, only about $25. The next episode of Von Real will feature on camera lighting. I use a Varalux by NRG with a 60% diffusion grid. The negative is wearing the 5 lb. battery belt.
When Trisha's belt died last year we considered buying another $300 replacement cell, but she really wanted to get away from the battery belt. We had a Sony LED light, but it just didn't throw very far. We tried a few other LED lights, but nothing could compare with the NRGs...that is until we tried the...
Comer 1800 LED light. It uses Sony style batteries and throws almost as far as the NRG.

At the last reception my battery belt died. It was an Asian reception where the couple goes around to all of the tables and sometimes the guests play tricks on the couple. This was after their 1st dance and Tea Ceremony, so I had used the light quite a bit. I grabbed the Comer and used it for the rest of the reception. It works really good. _________________ All My Best,
